Corporate Transparency Act Legal Team
New Federal Corporate Reporting Requirements for U.S. & Texas Businesses
The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) went into effect on January 1, 2024. This new federal law administered under the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) requires certain entities to report and identify individuals considered “beneficial owners.”
This new federal requirement will affect millions of small businesses in Texas and nationwide. The CTA was enacted in 2021 to fight corporate fraud and other white-collar crimes, from unlawful business transactions to tax crimes, money laundering, and terrorism financing.
As a business owner, you must understand the CTA, its reporting requirements, and the potential compliance implications. Failure to file or update your report could expose you to civil or criminal penalties.
At CTA Reporting, you can work with an experienced legal team well-versed in the CTA and how to meet its new regulations.
